HOTELBOAT TINY PURPLE
Tiny Purple is a 60' hotel narrowboat specialising in exclusive
party bookings for 1 - 4 guests, cruising the majority of the
inland waterways of England and Wales.
We, Paul & Dorrie Grange, are the proud owners and crew.
Because your party have sole charter of the boat, we are
able to tailor the cruise to your needs. Start and finish points
are set but between them you may stop and explore as you
will, walk along the canal, or if you wish, help with the
boat handling or locks. It is your holiday to do as little or
as much as you like.
Tiny Purple's guest quarters are from the fore
deck down to the engine room .
The fore deck offers a pleasant outdoor seated area to view
the sights. The lounge, by day, is a spacious area to relax
in, with colour TV, mini hifi system and a selection of books
and games. A fold away table and comfortable chairs
convert this area to a dining room for meals whilst at night
the fixed settee converts to either a double or two single
berths. A fixed double bed completes the compliment
of berths, with wardrobes and storage in this area.
The shower room has full sized shower, fresh water flush
toilet and hand basin with hot and cold running water.
Linen and bedding are provided. The kitchen is well
equipped including full size cooker,
microwave, refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher.
The boat is well insulated and has central heating.
It is a non-smoking boat, (except the fore deck).
The crew resides in the self contained boatmen's
cabin at the back.

OUR CRUISING ROUTES
Each year we offer routes that cover the popular waterways
to the unusual. All the canals and rivers have their own
unique character and charm; such as the architecture of
the Llangollen, the spectacular scenery of the Leeds & Liverpool,
the commercial waterways of the Aire & Calder, the recently
restored Kennet & Avon with the impressive Caen Hill lock flight
or one of Britains oldest navigable rivers the opulent River Thames.
We aim to cruise for approximately 5/7 hours per day stopping
in the evening at a secluded country mooring, a village or local
hostelry depending on you. We discuss at the beginning of the
cruise where you wish to stop/explore, good areas for towpath
walking if desired, and check each morning on the
days programme.
WHAT TO BRING
Most guests dress casually on board, and there is no need to
change for dinner. Storage space for your belongings is adequate
for four guests, but we would suggest soft folding luggage or
a set of nesting suitcases. A pair of soft soled shoes or
slippers are excellent for inside the boat. For those exploring
the towpath, a good pair of walking shoes/boots and rain proof
clothing are advisable. A torch would be useful for those
late evening adventures ashore. We provide all towels and bed
linen, you only need to bring your own personal wash items.
A hair dryer is also provided. We have a mini music system,
feel free to bring CD's or tapes with you.
We have a supply of 240V AC whilst the engine is
running, any personal electrical items are used at
your own risk (we ask you to check with us first).
We also have a standard 12V DC cigar lighter unit for
those who need to charge items such as batteries for
video cameras or cell phones.
